Our Programs & Services

We offer a wide variety of programs and services.

Math Grades K-3

Children build deep number sense and problem-solving confidence with abundant physical and virtual manipulatives, while interactive Promethean Boards (in Grades 2 & 3) make whole-class exploration vivid and engaging. Sense making and rich math conversations anchor every lesson, ensuring that even our youngest learners can clearly explain their thinking.

Literacy Grade 3

Students in grade 3 deepen their comprehension and analysis of both literary and informational texts. They are introduced to text structures, authors’ craft, and increasingly complex vocabulary. Writing instruction expands to include narrative, opinion, and informative writing using evidence from texts. Grammar and conventions are taught in context, and students learn to plan, revise, and publish their writing.

Literacy Grades K-2

In the early elementary years, students develop essential foundational literacy skills through systematic phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension instruction. Students engage in reading and listening to a wide range of texts and participate in interactive read-alouds and shared reading. Writing instruction focuses on sentence formation, narrative and opinion writing, and fine motor development in handwriting.

STEM Grades K–6

The K–6 STEM program builds foundational skills in engineering design, coding, and robotics through hands-on, interdisciplinary challenges beginning with our youngest learners. Students develop creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities in a fun, engaging environment.

Science Grades K–3

The K–3 Science program nurtures curiosity through hands-on exploration of life, earth, and physical sciences using inquiry, observation, and play. Students begin their sustainability journey by supporting monarch habitats in the school’s rain garden. Dedicated science labs ensure that students are engaging in hand-on investigations from the earliest grades.

Social Studies Grades K-3

The K–3 Social Studies program introduces students to foundational concepts in community, citizenship, geography, and history through engaging stories, activities, and inquiry-based exploration.

World Language Program

The Holmdel Township Public Schools world language program empowers students to become confident, culturally aware global citizens through engaging and immersive language learning experiences. From foundational vocabulary to meaningful communication, students develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in languages that open doors to diverse cultures and communities.

Gifted and Talented Services

A broad-based curriculum that includes humanities, social sciences, and languages.

English as a Second Language (ESL Program)

ESL provides the necessary communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) for individuals to function effectively in an English-speaking environment
